MLB picks, August 24th

One game on today's MLB schedule that looks interesting.

$15 on NY Mets (Niese) over Houston (Lyles) -1 1/2 @ -$110
When you are 37 games out of first in August, it's been a long summer. The hapless Astros limp into the Big Apple on a seven game losing streak. The Mets haven't fared much better lately, losing five straight. One of the few bright spots, Jonathan Niese takes the ball for New York, bringing a 10-6 record with a 3.49 ERA this year into the contest. Jordan Lyles will throw the horsehide for Houston. Lyles is 0-6 with a 7.58 ERA on the highway this season and the Astros are 12-51. The Mets aren't good, but Houston has been so incredibly bad the last two months that it's hard not to bet against them regardless who they are playing.
Starting Bankroll           $1,500.00
Profit/Loss                     $ 318.25
Current Bankroll            $1,818.25

Action is considered dead unless both listed pitchers start.
