Lucki Duck's Pokerpalooza

We had seven runners show for the second round of my Pokerpalooza. Farmer Harry brought pizza and my daughter baked some cupcakes for dessert. Good stuff!

From left to right on your radio dial were Dealer Larry, Glass Man, Farmer Harry, J-Dawg, Riverboat J, Ollie the Accountant and yours truly. Play was sluggish in this $20 buy-in, dealer's choice limit game, because all of us had one eye on the felt and one on the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship game.

Dealer Larry won the High Hand Jackpot by flopping a straight flush in a hand of hold-em. He limped with 8d-5d and saw a flop of 6d-7d-9d. Wow! After being the big winner last week, Larry walked away with most of the cash again, doubling his buy-in.

I managed a $10 win, as did J-Dawg. Riverboat J broke even, with Harry and Ollie both dropping less than $10 each. Glass Man took the biggest hit, dropping almost $40.

Everyone left in a good mood since the hometown team won the basketball game. Sonny Boy helped me put up the poker table and chairs, which beats having to drive home after a night of pitching cards.

I am going to have to buy a bigger garbage can though. My current one is no match for the amount of beer cans and bottles this group is discarding!

Till next time, win the flips.

  1. The need for a bigger garbage can sounds like a good problem to have... :)
