Funny, I Don't Feel Like 100!

For the past eight or nine years, I've been a member of a local Sertoma (SERvice TO MAnkind) club.

The original Sertoma Club was formed in Kansas City on April 11, 1912.

100 years ago today!

Other events that happened 100 years ago this month were the opening of both Fenway Park and Tiger Stadium. Also, the Titanic had it's maiden and final voyage.

Happy Birthday Sertoma! Here's to another century of service!

  1. Sertoma is a great club. I was involved in the Kiwanis organization for many, many years.

    1. The local Kiwanis club is one of our sponsors for our upcoming Kitefest. They've supported us for several years and have a warm place in my heart.

  3. Carmel -- man, we have to talk! I was a member of Circle K for six years, then a member of Kiwanis for many. While in Kiwanis, I was the advisor for a Circle K club and an assistant administrator of the district.

Oh yeah, Lucki ... we now return to your regularly scheduled blog comments and activities ... : o )
