Hot, Hot, Hot!

3-Day Forecast
We're having a heat wave,
A tropical heat wave,
The temperature's rising,
It isn't surprising.- Irving Berlin

Twenty-four days into July and we have had 24 days of 100 degree + weather. The forecast for the next seven days calls for highs between 102-105. If it's correct it will be only the second time in history that the high temperature in the Waco area was above 100 degrees every day in the month of July.

It's 104 as I type this and supposed to hit 105 tomorrow.

I guess we're lucky, it's forecast to hit 109 in Dallas tomorrow.

A day hot enough to make the devil sigh.

Sheesh.

  1. I was in Dallas back in 79 or 80 when they had something like 47 straight days over 100. Most of those days were like 110-112. Just meltingly hot. Tires leaving tracks in asphalt hot, just like they do in mud or snow. I don't envy you that weather Lucki

  2. @ Neo- 1980. That was the only other time it was 100 are better every day in the month of July. So far we've had 25 straight 100+ days going back into June.

I felt the need to whine about it :)
