I played my first meaningful poker in two weeks last night at J-Dawgs Poker Extravaganza, and boy was it a disaster!
The evening began around the dinner table, with Farmer Harry providing three diferent kinds of pizza. Canadian bacon, pepperoni, and hamburger were on the menu, so we were all well fed and ready to pitch some cards!
I guess I was rusty, because I lost half of my $20 buy-in within 30 minutes in this dealer's choice, limit game. For one of the few times since I've played at J-Dawg's, I had to rebuy and finished the night with a $16 hicky to the old bankroll.
Ray-Ray was the big winner for the evening, walking away with a little over $50. Although Bobby Dee hit quad twos, Stamps took down the High Hand Jackpot with a straight flush to the king. Nice one Stamps! Riverboat J got off to a fast start, but ended up losing a little, Bobby Dee broke even, as did Ollie the Accountant and Cell. Dealer Larry won a little, with J-Dawg, Farmer Harry and I taking it on the chin.
Tin Man's $5 NLHE Tourney is tonite. I'll be looking to reedem myself.
I cashed in my account at Poker Stars earlier this week. Man, did that suck! Waiting on the check now and hoping that Full Tilt will follow suite soon, as that is where the bulk on my bankroll is illegally parked.
Till next time, win the flips.
