Pokerpalooza Royalty

We had nine runners at the Duck Blind for our Tuesday night Pokerpalooza.

After a fried chicken meal with chocolate cupcakes the M2 made for us, we were tossing cards shortly after 7 o'clock. Seated around the felt were Farmer Harry, Ollie the Accountant, Bobby Dee, Stamps, Dealer Larry, Ray-Ray, Glass Man, J-Dawg, and yours truly, Lucki Duck.

Glass Man won the High Hand Jackpot early in the evening in this dealer's choice, limit game, when he hit a Royal Flush in an Omaha hand. Even with the HHJ in his pocket he still only broke even for the night.

Farmer Harry took a beating, losing almost $50, which is hard to do at this game. Stamps was the beneficiary, walking away $37 to the good. Ollie and J-Dawg both had profitable nights, with the rest of us pretty much breaking even. I finished with a windfall $1.25 profit :)

Our game will be suspended for a couple of weeks as many of our players will be working at the local fair. They belong to the the local Lions Club and have a carnival game they run to help fund their cause. Some kind of a "Wheel of Fortune" gig.

I'm headed over to see a movie with my friend Grant this evening. Grant was injured in a wreck in LA a few years ago and after quite a few surgeries, survived it, but came out the other side as a quadriplegic. He has one heckuva set up in his room for movies and I always enjoy going over. He was a screenwriter in LA, with horror films his genre', so whenever I visit he likes to put on something that scares the crap out of me! It should be an interesting visit.

Till next time, win the flips.
