MLB Picks- Wild Card

I think both of the Wild Card games today are worth a look.

$10 on Atlanta (Medlen) over St. Louis (Lohse) -1 1/2 @ +$140

Kris Medlen gets the nod for the Braves in Atlanta this afternoon. Atlanta is on a 23 game winning streak when he starts. Medlen boasts a 10-1 record with a 1.57 ERA this season. Kyle Lohse toes the rubber for the Redbirds, bringing a 16-3 record with a 2.86 ERA to the party. However, in his last 5 starts, St. Louis is 2-3. Atlanta has won 8 of their last 11 games and 10 of 11 at home. The Cards have won 12 of 16. The Braves won the season series 5-1, but those games were played in May.
$10 on Texas (Darvish) over Baltimore (Saunders) -1 1/2 @ +$115
The Rangers find out if their $100+ million investment provides any value when rookie Yu Darvish takes the ball tonight in Arlington. Darvish has pitched well at home, posting a 10-2 record. In his last 6 starts, Darvish is 4-0 with a 2.06 ERA. Lefty Joe Saunders throws the pill for the Orioles, bringing a 9-13 record with a 4.07 ERA to the dance. Since his trade from Arizona, Saunders is 3-3 with a 3.63 ERA. Baltimore has won 12 of their last 17 games and Texas has dropped 7 of 10. The Rangers have won 5 of the 7 games between the two clubs this season. The Rangers are 28-19 versus southpaw pitching this year.

Caesars/Harrahs has the best line on this one.

Starting Bankroll           $1,500.00
Profit/Loss                     $ 238.50
Current Bankroll            $1,738.50

Action is considered dead unless both listed pitchers start.
