MLB Picks, Oct 2nd

Only one game on today's menu that's worth a peek.

$20 on Texas (Harrison) over Oakland (Blackley) -1 1/2@ +$115
In a battle of southpaws, Matt Harrison takes the hill for the Rangers versus Travis Blackley and the A's. Texas has fared better against leftys than Oakland, posting a 28-18 record this season while the Athletics are 29-29. Harrison is 18-10 with a 3.26 ERA this season and is 3-1 with a 2.54 ERA in his last 4 outings. By contrast, Blackley has surrendered 9 runs in 3 innings in his last two starts. In his last start he gave up 5 runs in 1 inning against these same Rangers. Although Texas has dropped 5 of their last 7 games and the A's have won 16 of their last 21 at home, look for the two-time defending AL Champs to squash the A's hopes for a division title tonight and clinch their third consecutive AL West crown.
I hope.

    1. I guess as soon as you "decidde" to get your spell check fixed :) (I know it's a cheap shot, but it's all I got!)

Anytime you'd like will be fine. Monday seems to be the high traffic day.

  2. If that is the best you've got ... looks like you are in line with Tony Romo and the rest of the Cowboys!
