MLB Picks, September 3rd

Today's best bet is below.

$39 on Minnesota (-130) over ChiSox
Gibson (1-0, 1.59 ERA, last 2 starts) goes to the bump for the Twins. Samardzija (0-6, 8.82, last 6) takes the horsehide for the Palehose. Minnesota has beaten Chicago 10 of the last 12 times they've met. The Twinkies have also won 10 of 12 overall. The White Sox have lost 7 of 10.
Starting Bankroll                                       $1,500.00
Profit/Loss                                                  $125.25
Current Bankroll                                       $1,625.25

Action is considered dead unless both listed pitchers start.

  1. Hi LuckiDuck: I watched Kershaw pitch last night. Don Mattingly left him in for 137 pitches! Not sure why other than he is old school. When pitchers throw that many pitches, I've found they do poorly their next outing. If everything else is right (who the opps are, where game is, opp pitcher, etc.), it might be a play to bet against Kershaw. Just my two cents.

  2. Followup: I see LA is giving Kershaw an extra day's rest, so . . . maybe not such a great play, but I would NEVER bet on him in this scenario. He's pitching Tuesday at the Angels.
