Vegas Baby!

Ms Duck and I made to Vegas yesterday and are residing at the Orleans for the next four days. As evidenced in the photo below, we have a nice view of the strip.

The trip got off to a good start before it even began. As I was finishing packing, I grabbed my pile of player's cards and saw a $5 bill nestled in the stack. Even better, he had some friends with him! After unfolding and counting the bills, it came to $675. WIN!

The 90 minute trip to the Austin airport, including the last 40 miles in an 80 mph speed limit (gotta love Texas), was uneventful. While strolling thru the airport waiting for our flight, I spotted a $20 on the floor, calling to me. I graciously adopted the homeless Jackson, giving it shelter in my front pocket. Win again!

Upon arrival in Vegas, Ms. Duck and I checked in at the Orleans, then drove to the Rio where I registered for event 7 of the WSOP.

In it to win it Bay-Bee!

We slept in this morning and will probably hang out on the strip today. The plan (which is very fluid) is to take a drive to the Grand Canyon and take a gander tomorrow. Ms. Duck saw it as a child, but I have never seen it and she insisted I go. I'm easily impressed with nature and its miracles, so I'm pretty stoked about it.

I'll update as time allows.

Till next time, win the flips.

  2. You saw a $5 bill and it turned into $675?? You are a Lucki Duck aren't you? How do you forget where you put 675 bucks or was it a case of a pregnant $5 bill having a pile of babies? We are booking our flight to Vegas today and we can't wait to get there. Good luck in the tourney.

  4. May we all lose our next X flips so that you can win them instead during your bracelet run!

  6. A friend of mine has a rich Doctor friend who supposedly kills at the Blackjack tables every time he hits Vegas (I actually watched him do this once). One trip he came back $5000 to the good and for some reason stuck the cash in the glove compartment of his car and forgot about it for about a month.

For some people, like the Luckster, money means nothing. :)
