SNG Challenge- Race to 100
I haven't written about my challenge to win 100 sit and go tournaments in a calendar year in quite a while, but that doesn't mean I stopped playing them.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I've stuck with low buy in, turbo tourneys with a 500 chip starting stack. As you can imagine, the poker is not of a high quality and I had to make a few adjustments in order to beat the game on a consistent basis.
One of the hardest adjustments to make was limping big hands pre-flop. It catches up with me occasionally, but it has proven to be a very profitable strategy at this level. Opponents consistently overplay their top pair hands and I have learned that playing a trapping game is definitely the way to go.
Along with many other players, I had to move from the Bovada site to Ignition late this summer, which slowed me down for a week or two. The skins are the same on both, but the new site seems to work much smoother on my computer.
With a little under two months left, I'm currently sitting on 96 wins, so I'm feeling confident I will be able to meet and exceed 100 wins. I'll post if or when I hit the century mark.
Till next time, win the flips.

Very nice! Do you mind sharing the number of tournaments played to reach 100 wins?

DeleteThanks for the update. Looks like you've adapted to your new game (turbo 500-chip).
