Quad Ducks Shot Down

We had nine runners at the Duck Blind last night for our poker palooza. After some grub and a chocolate chip cookie or two, we had cards flying thru the air at seven.

J-Dawg was the big dawg for the evening in our $20 buy-in, dealers choice limit game, cashing out for $58. Cell won the High Hand Jackpot with quad rulers in a hand of Omaha High. Glass Man had a profitable night, winning $15, with Farmer Harry, and Cell pretty much breaking even. Bobby Dee and Stamps and Gentleman Jim got their eyes blackened, with each of them dropping around $20.

I walked away with a $10 profit.

The hand of the night was between Harry and I in a hand of double-flop Omaha High. I rivered quad ducks, with Harry and I capping the betting. I put my twos on their backs and Harry said, "That's pretty good," then turned over two snowmen. Unfortunately for me, there were two more of them on the board.

It's only the second time I've ever lost with quads. I can't believe the ducks let me down!

Good food, good fun, good times : )

Till next time, win the flips.

  1. You needed to be playing in a casino that has a bad-beat jackpot!
