As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, Ms. Duck and I had a gig for a New Years Eve casino party. What I didn't mention was that while grabbing a blackjack table for the party, I noticed that a mouse had chewed a large hole in the felt.
Not good.
Obviously, I couldn't use this one, so I loaded another and off we went.
I waited until the temperature warmed a little and since it got up into the low 70s yesterday I replaced the felt.
Much better, no?
The mouse? Lets just say that my blackjack table was his last meal.
Well, I don't feel like quite as big a slob. Or at least I feel I have company.
ReplyDeleteI trapped four of the blighters this year. Saw one one evening. Didn't realize it was a family. Only time it happened and I felt a bit dirty.
I used peanut butter on an enclosed trap I picked up at the Ace Hardware, BTW. Not nearly as diabolical as yours. I am envious.
Three cats in my house = extremely small mouse population.
ReplyDelete@ Ken- yeah, peanut butter is my bait of choice too.
ReplyDelete@ lighting- we had a cat in our warehouse, but he came up a step short on the road in front of our business.
I don't mind the mice as much as the snakes that stop in for a rodent snack.
Mmmm I love peanut butter!
ReplyDeleteMmmm I love rattlesnake, much tastier than cat or mouse.
ReplyDelete@ Neo- Rattlesnake ain't bad, but mouse has a little more white meat. Fileting them can be a pain though. Spread a little peanut butter on them after fryin' 'em up and ta-da!
ReplyDeleteRight Josie?
Ahahha, i laughed so hard on the third pic! :D Witty, very witty!
