Full Tilt Sold- Players To Be Paid

PokerStrategy.com is reporting that Full Tilt has been conditionally sold to Groupe Bernard Tapie, which specializes in purchasing distressed companies (i.e. Full Tilt) and returning them to profitability. Adidas is the most well known company that the group has salvaged.

Part of the agreement is to repay current Full Tilt players in full. The biggest obstacle left is resolving issues with the US Department of Justice, which must happen before the deal is completed.

Keep your fingers crossed!

MLB Picks, September 30th

The American League kicks off the 2011 MLB playoffs with the Rays visiting Texas and the Tigers traveling to Yankee Stadium. I think both games are worth a peek.

$15 on Texas (Wilson) over Tampa Bay (Niemann), -1.5 @ +$135

Wilson is 16-7, 2.94 ERA on the year and 2-0 against the Rays. Niemann is 11-7, 4.06. Both clubs finished the season hot, with the Rays winning their last five and the Rangers winning six straight and 14 of their last 16. Both teams feature solid pitching, but the Rangers have more firepower at the plate, which should be enough to win the game.
$20 on Detroit (Verlander) over NY Yankees (Sabathia) @ +$120

I like the Tigers as a dog here. Verlander is 24-5, 2.40 ERA on the season, and is even better on the highway, sporting a 14-2 record. Sabathia is no slouch, going 19-8, 3.00 this year. The Yankees have dropped 4 straight, but didn't have anything to play for this week, so i don't put a whole lot of stock in that number. The Tigers have won 4 in a row and 30 of their last 39. That ain't bad. Look for the Tigers to upset the Pinstripers in the opener.

Starting Bankroll         $1,500.00
Profit/Loss                     $67.00
Current Bankroll          $1,567.00

Action is considered dead unless both listed pitchers start.

Full Tilt's AGCC License Revoked + Full Tilt Statement

The Aldernet Gambling Control Commission has revoked three of Full Tilt Poker's operating licenses, dealing another blow to the teetering company. Subject: Poker has the story.

In response, Full Tilt has issued a press release which can be read on the Poker Strategy site by clicking here.

At least it looks like this soap opera is coming to an end, one way or another.

Justice Department Comments On Full Tilt Case

The Department of Justice has issued an update on it's position in regard's to Full Tilt Poker and it's pigeons  players.
By way of background, in April of 2011, this Office entered into a domain-name use agreement with Full Tilt Poker. That agreement, among other things, expressly authorized Full Tilt Poker to return player funds to players. However, as the September 22 amended complaint alleges, Full Tilt Poker did not in fact have player funds on hand to return to players. Instead, the amended complaint alleges that Full Tilt Poker had, among other things, (a) transferred significant amounts of players’ real money deposits to principals of the company, while (b) allowing many players to continue to gamble, and “win” and “lose,” with phantom credits in their player accounts.
 Subject:Poker has the complete story.

The Ghosts of Red Sox Past

What an amazing final day of the 2011 Major League Baseball season! With the wild card up for grabs in both leagues, three of the four games went down to the wire.

The Cardinals scored five runs in the first inning and cruised to an easy victory over the Astros.

The Braves had a one run lead in the ninth inning, but couldn't hold it and finally lost in extra innings to the Phillies, and completed one of the biggest September collapses in recent memory.

But no one loses as spectacularly as the Red Sox. Tied in the standings with Tampa Bay, the Rays fell behind the Yankees early and found themselves in a 7-0 hole with only six outs left. I mean, the Yankees hadn't blown a seven run lead in the eighth inning since 1953! Meanwhile, Boston was clinging to a 3-2 lead over Baltimore late in the game. If you're a Red Sox fan, you had to feel pretty good about your chances, since your team is 77-0 when leading in the ninth inning this season.

Then the ghosts of the Babe, Bucky F'in Dent and Bill Buckner appeared. The light hitting Rays exploded for six runs in the eighth inning to cut the Yankee lead to 7-6. With two outs in the bottom of the ninth and two strikes on the hitter... , a game tying home run!

The Rays and Yanks play into extra innings as Boston and Baltimore go to the bottom of the ninth with the Sox leading by one run. The first two hitters for the Orioles are quick outs, and the Red Sox only need one out to win the game. Double, double, single, and Baltimore stuns the Red Sox nation with a 4-3 win and the Boston fans are reduced to hoping for a Tampa loss and a playoff game Thursday. But, it wasn't meant to be as Longoria hits a game winning dinger only three minutes after the Red Sox coughed up their game and season.

WOW!

What an exciting and heart wrenching night of baseball!

Looks like it's gonna be a long cold winter in Boston.

MLB Picks, September 28th

Three weeks ago it looked like all the playoff spots were wrapped up. The division titles had pretty much been decided, and both the Braves and Red Sox had a stranglehold on the wild cards. But now both teams have run into slumps and suddenly the final playoff spot in both leagues is coming down to the final day of the season.

In addition to the wild card races, Texas and Detroit are battling for the number two seed in the AL. The Rangers have a one game lead, but should they end in a tie, the Tigers win the tie-breaker and will play either the Red Sox or the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALDS. My hope is that the Rangers will hold on to the two seed and will meet a struggling Boston club who just won a one game playoff against the Rays and has messed up their pitching rotation. We'll know soon enough.

Only one game on the final day of the season that's worth a look.

$10 on Oakland (Gonzales) over Seattle (Vasquez), -1.5 @ +$100

Gonzales is 3-0, 1.71 ERA in his last three starts. Vasquez is 1-5, 8.89 in his six starts this season. Seattle is 13-27 against leftys on the year.

Starting Bankroll         $1,500.00

MLB Picks, September 27th

Two games in the NL Central that look interesting.

$25 on St. Louis (Westbrook) over Houston (Sosa), -1.5 @ -$110

Westbrook is 8-4 on the highway this season. Sosa is 1-2, 6.00 ERA in his last three starts. The Cardinals need this one bad. The Astros, not so much.
$20 on Milwaukee (Wolf) over Pittsburgh (Ohlendorf), -1.5 @ +$110

Wolf is 7-3, 3.40 ERA at home this year. Ohlendorf is 1-2, 12.27 in his last three trips to the bump. Milwaukee was 10-2 versus the Pirates this season going into Monday's game amd had won 7 of 10 overall.

NFL Picks Contest- Week 3 Results

Week 3 of the Small Potatoes NFL Picks Contest is in the books with 12 survivors. The only casualty this week was "Playing Favorites" who picked the Iggles to beat the Giants.

If you picked the Chargers, you can breath now! I'm glad Norv's bunch held on and won, or we would have lost eight players. Plus Grange95 would be in the pokey for Murder One and the Bolts would be looking for a new coach :)

If you see your name below, you made the cut and will move on to Week 4.

MLB Picks, September 25th

Three games on the schedule today that are worth a peek.

$45 on Texas (Holland) over Seattle (Furbush), -1.5 @ -$110

Holland has put together a solid season, posting a 15-5 record. Furbush has struggled on the highway, going 1-5, 8.21 ERA. The Rangers are trying to catch the Tigers, so they won't be mailing this one in now that they have clinched the AL West. Texas has won 8 of their last 10. The Mariners are 13-26 against leftys this year.
$55 on LA Dodgers (Kershaw) over San Diego (Luebke) @ -$140

Kershaw is 20-5, 2.27 ERA this year. Luebke is 3-4, 4.00 at home this season. The Dodgers have won 7 of their last 10 games. The Padres are 19-29 against leftys this year.
$30 on NY Yankees (Nova) over Boston (Lachey) @ -$150

Nova is 16-4, 3.62 ERA on the year. Lackey is 0-1, 10.66 in his last three starts. The Red Sox have dropped 8 of their last 10 games.

Starting Bankroll         $1,500.00
Profit/Loss                   <$81.45>
Current Bankroll          $1,418.55

Action is considered dead unless both listed pitchers start.

College Football Picks, September 24th

Four games on the schedule today that look +EV.

$11 @ 11/10 on Baylor (-19) over Rice.

The Bears are averaging 49 points per game and are looking for their first 3-0 start since 2005. Rice edged Purdue 24-22 last week after losing to Texas 34-9 in their forst game. Robert Griffen and company will be too much for the Owls.

$11 @ 11/10 on Florida (-18) over Kentucky.

Florida will probably be a little flat coming into this game after a big win over Tennessee last week, but the Cats are not very good. They are averaging less than 20 points a game against such powerhouses as Western Kentucky, Central Michigan, and Louisville. That won't cut it in the SEC.

$11 @ 11/10 on SMU (-22) over Memphis.

I'd like this one a lot more at -20, but I still think the Mustangs have the firepower to blow this one open. Memphis lost their first two games by a combined score of 106-17, before beating Austin-Peay last week.

$11 @ 11/10 on Virginia Tech (-19) over Marshall

Va. Tech has outscored their opponents 109-30 in their first three games. Marshall lost to Ohio (not State) 44-7 last week. I rest my case your Honor.

Starting Bankroll         $2,000.00
Profit/Loss                     $74.00
Current Bankroll          $2,074.00

All picks are for entertainment purposes only with no guarantees implied. Any money wagered is at you own risk.

MLB Picks, September 24th

Two games on the menu today that look interesting.

$10 on Minnesota (Liriano) over Cleveland (Talbot) @ +$180
I seldom bet on a team playing as bad as the Twins are right now, losing 9 of 10 going into Friday's game, but the line is just too juicy to pass up. Liriano is 1-0, 0.83 ERA in his last three starts, while Talbot is 0-2, 10.67 in his last three. At +$180, it's worth a small wager
.

$40 on St. Louis (Lohse) over ChiCubs (Lopez), -1.5 @ +$110

Lohse is 2-0, 1.47 ERA in his last three trips to the bump. Lopez is 2-4, 6.17 on the highway this year. The Cards have won 7 of their last ten games and are 8-4 versus the Cubs this season going into Friday night's game.

$30 on St. Louis (Carpenter) over ChiCubs (Dempster), -1.5 @ -$105
Carpenter is 2-0, 1.50 ERA in his last three starts. Dempster is 4-5, 5.83 on the highway this season. The Cards have won 7 of their last 10 overall. Only 2 games out of the wild card, they need this game a lot more than the Cubs do.

Full Tilt Near Deal To Sell

Just when you thought Full Tilt was down for the count.
"The reports of my death are greatly exagerrated."- Mark Twain
Subject:Poker is reporting that a letter of intent to buy Full Tilt Poker has been executed by a French investment group.

Below are some of the details.

  • There is an executed term sheet/letter of intent in place.

  • Ifrah says the funds of the potential investor have been vetted by Full Tilt and the US Department of Justice.

  • The terms say that any purchase agreement would provide funds to allow the repayment of account balances to all Full Tilt Poker players worldwide.

  • The DOJ is aware of this letter of intent and its terms and, in fact, has already received a copy.

  • The investor hopes to include in any deal the settlement of pending DOJ fines, which would, in effect, satisfy the civil complaint now facing Full Tilt Poker and its various companies.

  • The Alderney Gaming Control Commission is aware of the pending deal. They have received specific information about the deal from both Full Tilt and the prospective investors.

  • If we get our money at this late stage, consider it hitting a one outer on the river.

Full Tilt Charged With Theft Of Player's Funds

Looks like the Professor, Jesus, and Rafe get to join the party. Maybe Lederer should have held on to the money he paid back Todd Brunson out of the trunk of his car. I wonder who will be next?

    Subject:Poker has the full story.

"The US Department of Justice has amended its Black Friday civil complain to include discussion of alleged “Full Tilt Poker’s and the FTP insider defendants’ theft of player funds.” The new complaint adds three new defendants, Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson, and Rafe Furst. It also alleges that these new defendents together with Ray Bitar committed money laundering, and asks for penalties ranging from $12M for Furst to $42M for Lederer."

I don't know how this will affect our chances of recovering our funds, it's probably not good, but at least it looks like the pricipals might end up paying dearly for their scam.

    The DOJ doesn't play nice.

    NFL Picks- Week 2 Results

Wow, what a great group of prognosticators we had this week! Thirteen and oh. Maybe we should meet in Vegas next week.

I was a little worried when I saw that the Inside Man had taken the Giants. They didn't look so hot in week 1, plus you never know what you're gonna get with Eli at the helm.

    Duck Family Reigns!

We had seven runners show for Tin Man's $5 NLHE Tourney last Friday. Seated to my left was Philly Phanatic, followed by Lil' Annie Okie, Tin Man, Ranger Rick, Bluffin' Bev, Ms. Lucki Duck, and yours truly.

I was surprised when Annie said that they planned on hosting poker night  because she had suffered a heart attack Tuesday morning. On top of that, her husband Tin Man had two stents placed in his right leg earlier in the day.Talk about dedicated poker players :)

Ranger Rick took the lead early when he felted Bluffin' Bev when he hit a set on the flop and got Bev all-in with two pair. Annie was the next to fall, and I knocked out Tin Man when my pocket sixes held against his A-Q.

Ms. Lucki Duck toppled a short stacked Ranger Rick when he pushed from the SB with the hammer. She had beaten him twice previously, taking most of his chips, so it wasn't surprising to see her hand hold up against Rick. As a bonus, he was the bounty, so Ms. Duck collected $7 for the KO.

Philly Phanatic and I got it all-in preflop, my A-K versus Philly's pocket tens. The tens looked good until a king showed up on the river, toe-tagging Philly and leaving a heads-up match between Ms. Duck and myself.

I had a 4-1 chip lead, but did the prudent thing and offered to chop with Ms. Duck. She accepted and we both walked away happy (and still married).

Since Tin Man wasn't feeling too good, we decided to cancel the cash game and make it an early evening so he and Annie could both get some rest.

I'm hoping Tin Man and Annie both have speedy recoveries. And that goes for my Illini friend lightning, who also had a "mild" heart attack. Get well soon folks!

Till next time, win the flips.

    MLB Picks, September 19th

Two games on the agenda today that look profitable.

$10 on Milwaukee (Narveson) over ChiCubs (Coleman), -1.5 @ +$100

$15 on Arizona (Kennedy) over Pittsburgh (Karstens), -1.5 @ -$110

Kennedy is 19-4, 2.99 ERA on the year. Karstens has stryggled lately, going 0-2 witha 6.60 ERA in his last three starts.

    NFL Picks, September 18th

Two games that look like winners today.

    $11 @ 11/10 on Dallas (-3) over San Francisco
My Cowboys lost a heartbreaker last week to the Jets, but there were a lot of positives they took from the game. Romo and the 'Boys will be fired up and will take advantage of a pedestrian 49er secondary. Look for Dallas' front seven to put a lot of pressure on Smith and cover the three point spread.
    $11 @ 11/10 on Houston (-3) over Miami
The Dolphin secondary got lit up by the Patriots last week and the Texans are on par with New England's offense. Look for Houston to score early and often. Miami also has a decent passing game, so it should be entertaining to watch, but the Texans will prove to have too much firepower and cover the spread.

    Starting Bankroll         $2,000.00
    Profit/Loss                     $64.00
    Current Bankroll         $2,064.00

All picks are for entertainment purposes only with no guarantees implied. Any money wagered is at you own risk.

    MLB Picks, September 18th

Two games in the Senior Circuit worth a look.

$25 on Milwaukee (Greinke) over Cincinnati (Willis), -1.5 @ -$110

Greinke is 1-1, 2.50 ERA in his last three starts. Willis is winless with the Reds this year and is 0-3, 7.94 in his last three outings.

$20 on San Francisco (Cain) over Colorado (Rogers), -1.5 @ +$100

Cain has a 2.79 ERA on the highway this season, while Rogers has a 9.86 ERA at home. Guess where this game is being played? The Giants had won 6 straight going into Saturday's game ans was 9-4 against the Rockies this season.

    MLB Picks, September 17th

Baseball is a funny thing. Yesterday there were several match-ups that looked like +EV situations and today, not so much. So, for the first time in a while, I'm going to sit out today and just concentrate on college football.

Hopefully, tomorrow's schedule will look better.

    College Football Picks, September 16th

One interesting game on the menu Friday night.

    $11 @ 11/10 on Boise State over Toledo, (-20)

Boise open with an impressive road win over Georgia. Toledo scared the life out of Ohio St, dropping a close 27-22 decision. The Broncos routed the Rockets last year 57-14. Boise will be looking to ramp up their running game. With Toledo missing three starters on defense, I look for the Broncos to move the ball well enough to cover the spread.

    Starting Bankroll         $2,000.00
    Profit/Loss                     $25.00
    Current Bankroll          $2,025.00

All picks are for entertainment purposes only with no guarantees implied. Any money wagered is at you own risk.

    Good luck!

Wilson is 3-0, 0.79 ERA the last three times he has toed to rubber. Beavan is 4-5, 4.32 on the season. The Rangers have won 4 straight. Seattle is 11-24 versus leftys this season.

    Heart Attacks and Straight Flushes

We only had 6 runners show for J-Dawg's Poker Extravaganza Tuesday night. After some burgers and chips with cheese dip, we started pitching cards around 7 o'clock.

From left to right on your radio dial were Farmer Harry, J-Dawg, Ray-Ray, Bobby Dee, Stamps, and your humble blogger. Farmer Harry started hot and stayed hot throughout the evening, even winning the High Hand Jackpot when he rivered an 8 high diamond straight flush in a hand of Omaha High. J-Dawg had a grip on it until then with his quad eights, but it was not to be for our host.

I had a rough night in this $20 buy-in, dealer's choice limit game. I rivered a full house (eights over fives) in a hand of 7-Card Stud and raised a river bet by Bobby Dee. Fortunately, he didn't re-pop me, but only called and tabled Q-Q-Q-8-8 for the bigger full house. Usually a boat when playing stud will win the pot, but not tonight for me!

I also hit for trip fives in a hand of Five Card Draw, but once again got the silver metal when Harry drew a third queen. Yuck.

Harry turned a $30+ profit for the evening, and J-Dawg won $15. The rest of us were sent home licking our wounds, with mine being $12 worth of pain.

                                        *****

I mentioned in an earlier post, the health issues that Tin Man and his wife Lil' Annie Okie have had recently. Annie got a good report from her doctor on Monday and seemed to finally be healing from her major surgical procedure, However, she suffered a setback Tuesday when she suffered a minor heart attack. Two hours and one stent later, she was resting comfortably in ICU. She was moved to a private room yesterday and expects to be released today.

Speaking of stents, Tin Man will have one of two placed in his right leg tomorrow. He had his left leg done last week and I'm sure he will be glad to have this behind him.

Please keep my friends in your thoughts and prayers. They've had a rough go of it recently.

Till next time, win the flips.

NFL Picks Contest- Week 1 Results

Looks like we have a smart bunch of prognosticators fighting for an NFL shirt and bragging rights! We only lost two people the first week, with GreenBeans and Music City Momma both getting toe-tagged.

Wolfshead stepped out and picked the Lions and was rewarded. Ironman, Two Minute Warning, and John Mertz had a little bit of a sweat with Arizona, and the San Diego/ Minnesota game was a little closer than expected.

We're down to 13 for Week 2 and your pick needs to be in by Saturday at midnight CDT. Please e-mail your pick to nfl.picks@ymail.com. I'll put up a reminder post later in the week.

    Good luck!

    MLB Picks, September 13th

Two games on the menu today that are worth a nibble.

$60 on Tampa Bay (Price) over Baltimore (Simon), -1.5 @ -$130

Price is 8-4, 3.33 ERA on the highway. Simon has struggled lately, going 0-2, 7.31 in his last three starts. The Rays have won 5 straight and the Orioles have lost 7 of 10.

$70 on Arizona (Kennedy) over LA Dodgers (Billingsley), @ -$115

Kennedy is 19-4, 2.90 ERA on the season. Billingsley has a 7.30 ERA in his last three starts. Both teams are playing well, winning 7 of their last 10 games going into Monday night's game.

    Profit/Loss                      <$107.57>
    Current Bankroll            $1,392.43

    Tin Man's Poker Tournament

We had eight runners show up to pitch a few cards at Tin Man's $5 NLHE Tourney last Friday. Bluffin Bev sat to my immediate left, followed by Lil' Annie Okie, Tin Man, Jamie, Big Daddy, Philly Phanatic, Ollie the Accountant and myself.

Ollie, Philly, and Bev all busted early, with Jaime felting two of them. He also sent Big Daddy to the showers a short time later. Lil'Annie Okie lost a big hand leaving her very short-stacked and pushing with a baby ace. Jaime called her with K-J and paired the king on the flop, putting us in the money.

Down to three players, I was the shorty, but was able to double thru Jaime and get back in the game. I lost a race with Tin Man a little later, which dropped me down to 2 BB. Not good.

With blinds at $50-100, Jaime folded from the button and I pushed my final 110 chips into the middle. Tin Man woke up with pocket nines and I was a dead duck.

Tin Man and Jaime chopped the first place money and we were off to the $2 cash game.

I didn't have any memorable hands in the cash game, but just played solid poker and finished the evening with a $4 profit and a lot of laughs.

                                               *****

Tin Man had two stents put in his right leg last Wednesday and goes back this Friday to do the other leg. His wife, Lil' Annie Okie goes back to San Antonio today for another follow-up to her hernia surgery she had a couple months ago. The last two follow ups have included removing dead tissue from around the incision. Hopefully that won't be necessary this time.

"We're both a little gimpy right now" she said.

Good luck, prayers, and positive vibes to them both this week.

Till next time, win the flips.

    MLB Picks, September 12th

Just one game on the docket today that's worth a look.

$60 on NY Mets (Dickey) over Washington (Detwieler), -1.5 @ +$140

Dickey is 3-0, 1.35 ERA in his last three starts. Detwieler is 0-3, 4.35 on the highway this season.

    Starting Bankroll         $1,500.00
    Profit/Loss                      <$47.57>
    Current Bankroll          $1,452.43

    Good luck!

    NFL Picks, September 11th

Three games on the menu that look promising.

    $11 @ 11/10 on Kansas City (-5 1/2) over Buffalo

Bills had one of the worst run defenses in the league last season, surrendering 170 YPG. The Chiefs had the best rushing game in the league, averaging 164 YPG. Look for the Chiefs to pound the Bills defense and cover in this one.

    $11 @ 11/10 on Cleveland (-6 1/2) over Cincinnati

The Bengals are starting rookie Andy Dalton at QB, never a good thing in the NFL. Of course he has Ocho Cinco and Terrell Owens to throw to.  Oh, wait... uh-oh. Look for the Browns to cover and be 1-0 after this one.

    $11 @ 11/10 on Arizona (-7) over Carolina

Cam Newton starts his first game in the NFL at QB. The Cardinals have a big edge at the position, starting Kevin Kolb. Carolina has had it rough on the highway, dropping 5 of 6 ATS on the highway.

    Starting Bankroll         $2,000.00
    Profit/Loss                    $47.00
    Current Bankroll          $2,047.00

All picks are for entertainment purposes only with no guarantees implied. Any money wagered is at you own risk.

    Good luck!

Final Day To Sign Up For My NFL Picks Contest

Today is the last day to sign up for the Small Potatoes NFL Picks Contest. You will need to be signed up and have your week 1 pick to me by tonight. If you have already signed up, please be sure to e-mail your pick if you haven't done it already. Details are below. Join in on the fun!

I'll try to post everyone's week 1 pick before the first kickoff tomorrow.
Win a cool NFL shirt from Lucki Duck!
I read Josie's brag post about how awesome she is at picking winners of NFL games, having won her league three consecutive years, and thought it might be fun to have a friendly contest here at Small Potatoes to see who is the best prognosticator on the internet!

This contest is open to any and all who stop by to read this blog. There is no entry fee, and you can enter by e-mailing me @ nfl.picks@ymail.com or commenting below. Jump in, there's nothing to lose and you might win a shirt!

The winner receives a tee shirt or sweat shirt (your choice) with the logo of your favorite NFL team. If there is a tie at the end of the season, all remaining contestants will receive a shirt.

    Here are the rules.

Each week I need your pick BEFORE the first game. No point spread just an out right winner. If that team wins you advance. That simple. If there is a tie or your team loses, you are out. Each week the amount of players dwindle until the last man, woman, or child, is standing, or the regular season is over.
IMPORTANT RULE: the first seven weeks you can pick the same team. After that you are allowed to pick a certain team only once. Say weeks 2 thru 7 you pick the Dolphins and they win. Week 8 you pick the Dolphins. They are off the board for you for the rest of the pool. The 9th week you pick the Bears and they are off the board for the rest of the pool and so on until the end of the regular season. This pool will only be for the regular season. Whoever is left at the end will receive a shirt.

Each week you must email your pick to nfl.picks@ymail.com before the first game starts for the week playing . And remember, there are a few Thursday night games during the season. If you have questions, please e-mail me at nfl.picks@ymail.com.

I am not going to count the Thursday night game this week so everyone who wants to sign up has time. You will need to be registered and have your week 1 picks to me by this Saturday at midnight CDT to be eligible.

Is Josie really as good as she claims? Can you beat her? Can anyone? Time to put up or shut up!

    Very Josie- "Three Time Champ!"
Sign up today by e-mailing me or commenting below and let's have some fun!

    MLB Picks, September 10th

Two games on the menu worth a look today.

$10 on Tampa Bay (Hellickson) over Boston (Weiland), -1.5 @ +$140

Hellickson has a 2.27 ERA at home this year. Weiland is starting his third game of the season and was 0-1, 6.75 ERA in his first two. The Red Sox have lost 7 of their last 10.

$20 on Arizona (Miley) over San Diego (Stauffer), -1.5 @ +$140

Miley is starting for the fifth time this season and has pitched well lately, going 3-0, 1.89 ERA in his last three trips to the bump. Stauffer has struggled, posting a 0-3 record, with an 8.56 ERA in his last three starts. The D-Backs have won 14 straight home games and the Padres have lost 9 straight on the highway. Arizona leads the season series 8-4.

    Starting Bankroll         $1,500.00
    Profit/Loss                       $8.43
    Current Bankroll          $1,508.43

    College Football Picks, September 10th

Four match ups on the schedule that look like good bets.

    $22 @ 11/10 on Florida (-20) over UAB

QB Brantley and RB Rainey should light up the scoreboard. UAB scored over 30 points in five games last year, so they should be able to put up a few also, but not enough to stay with the Gators.

    $22 @ 11/10 on Stanford (-22) over Duke

Andrew Luck and a stellar running game should be too much for the Devils.

    $22 @ 11/10 on Wisconsin (-20) over Oregon State

Wisconsin QB Wilson had 300+ all purpose yards last week. Combined with a solid running game, look for the Badgers to win this one going away.

     $11 @ 11/10 on TCU (-1) over Air Force

The Frogs QB Pachall threw for 4 TD and 251 yards against Baylor. Air Force has a better defense, but TCU should be able to score enough to cover in this one.

    Starting Bankroll         $2,000.00
    Profit/Loss                      <$23.00>
    Current Bankroll           $1,977.00

All picks are for entertainment purposes only with no guarantees implied. Any money wagered is at you own risk.

    Good luck!
