I've been taking Sonny Boy since he was knee high to a grasshopper. As a youngster, he was a huge "Pudge" (Rodriquez) fan. Although the Rangers have had some decent teams over the years, Saturday was the first time he had ever seen them win in person. Of course, my daughter took full credit for his change of fortune!

We also took Sonny Boy's friend Ryan, who at 20 years of age, had never been to a professional sporting event of any kind. So it was fun watching him react to the stadium and the game. His only fault is that he's a Steelers fan, but so is Ggrouchie, and I like him well enough, so I guess I'll overlook Ryan's shortcoming.

ReplyDeleteMy son was never interested in sports and has only attended a few games, certainly much different than me.
