    Read an interview with Ventura not too long ago regarding getting hit by pitches. He said at first he just saw red and started toward them mound. By the time he came to his senses he was almost there and he thought "What the hell am I doing" Then Ryan grabbed him and it really went downhill.

    He may be a long, tall Texan to you, but pitchers like Ryan who threw at people while having the protection of the designated hitter were nothing but cowards to me.
