Go Fly A Kite!

As part of the local Sertoma club, I was asked to run a kite building workshop at the local library. We are hoping it will encourage the attendees to come to our KiteFest in May.

We were expecting 20-25 kids, but had an overflow crowd, with around 60 kiddos and their parents attending. The kite population in central Texas increased dramatically yesterday!

It was a lot of fun and provided some quality time together for the families.

Wall to wall smiles, that's hard to beat!

A few pictures from last night.

  1. Cool project. I used to be quite active in the Kiwanis family many years ago. I imagine I'll get back into that type of thing once the kids get a little older.

  2. Better all around than the version involving checks.
