Back in the Saddle
After a four and a half year hiatus, I finally played some online poker last night.
After making a small deposit on Bovada, I stuck my toe in the water and entered a $4 sit-n-go to get a feel of the site without a big investment.
This particular table played very tight, with the exception of one player who was two to my left. As it turned out, he and I were the last two standing and he had me out chipped by a 3-1 margin.
However, the blinds were high, so I was able to pull even with one double-up. I upped my aggression and took down the blinds several times building a nice chip lead.
He shoved for 3 big blinds with 8-9 soooted and I called with K-5. I paired my 5 on the flop, but he had a spade flush draw. No more shovels appeared and I won my first tourney.
Not much money, but a nice start nonetheless.
Till next time, win the flips.

Good job. Also, try the $3 or $7 triple ups. Top three out of nine with $9 or $21 (rest get nothing). Play very patiently and it's fairly easy money.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip MOJO.
DeleteI sometimes play micro Omaha cash games. Not bad for keeping the skills sharp from your own home.
