Cancer Returns- Update

I haven't updated Mom's progress in a while, mostly because there hasn't been any major changes over the last few weeks.

She completed her chemo and radiation almost six weeks ago and is making some progress, albeit very slow. Last week was the first time since this started that she mentioned she was feeling a little better. It's a little thing, but I'll take it.

She had a catscan three weeks ago that showed the lymph nodes had shrunk, which is definitely a good sign, and her petscan (which checks specifically for cancerous cells) will be in January. So we wait.

She uses her walker to move around her house, and is now on oxygen 24/7. My younger sister and her husband moved in early last month to help her out until she gets strong enough to take care of herself.

Don't get me wrong, it's certainly not all rainbows and lollipops, but the small improvement she has made is encouraging.

Once again, thank you for your inquiries as to how she's doing and your good wishes for her. Please keep those good vibes, positive energy, and prayers headed her way.

Cancer sucks.
